This area has recently become more easily accessable since the introduction of Ryanair and flyBe flights daily to Bergerac airport (20 minutes away). Many people find it easier and more time-saving to fly in and hire a car for the duration of their stay.
In a quiet corner South of Bergerac 'Sage' is well placed for exploring the fabulous castles, prehistoric sites and medieval villages of the Dordogne and the Lot, yet within easy reach of Bordeaux. Canoeing, riding, tennis and golf are available nearby and music festivals throughout the season. There are a number of lakes and swimming pools in the immediate area for lazy afternoons swimming and soaking up some sun. Off main roads you move in a landscape little changed for decades.
