Local Area DetailsBurnside Cottage is situated on the rocky south coast of Harris in the village of Maevag, approximately 3 miles from the Ferry Terminal at Tarbert. It is only 37 miles away from Stornaway, the nearest airport, with flights daily (except Sunday) to Glasgow and Inverness. Cars are available for hire, if required from the airport. The terrain around the cottage is wild and majestic, ideal for hill walking, bird watching, fishing or getting away from it all. There is also a 9 hole golf course and glorious sands on the West Coast of the island.
