Casa Carrasco is a haven of peace and tranquillity, located approximately 6 kilometres from the authentic small Spanish town of Colmenar and an easy drive from Málaga Airport. Once a typical Spanish working farmhouse, we have fully restored Casa Carrasco retaining many of the original features. The accommodation is well furnished inside and out, and is set amongst olive and almond covered hillsides.
The house lies at the end of a good unsurfaced track of approximately 2 kilometres and so provides complete privacy, peace and solitude, 4 kilometres south of Colmenar, on the road to the hamlet of Solano.
Casa Carrasco sits at the head of a valley looking south towards the mountains backing Malaga.
Accommodation
The house is on two floors and we have furnished it in a typical Spanish style.
Ground Floor
Large living room with wood burning stove

Twin bedroom with en-suite shower room
Fully-fitted and well equipped kitchen/dining room with exposed stone walls and original bread oven
The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, electric oven and gas hob. In addition to the usual basics in holiday accommodation, we have provided a full range of equipment for the keen cooks amongst you.
First Floor
Two sets of staircases lead to two separate upstairs areas:
Twin bedroom and
Double bedroom with an en-suite shower room
All windows have mosquito screens.
Outside
South facing terrace with two covered seating areas, one fully covered in case of rain, the other covered by a mature grapevine.
Steps lead down to a sun terrace with a barbecue and further steps down to the pale jade-green swimming pool (8m x 4m) with roman steps, and an additional sunbathing area.

Local Area Details

Casa Carrasco is perfectly placed to enjoy the Andalucian countryside and traditional Spanish way of life. The house is close to a number of traditional white ´pueblos of the Axarquia region such as Colmenar, Comares, Riogorgo and Alfernate. Further afield but an easy day trip are the historic cities of Granada, Antequera, Cordoba and Seville. The coast is a 45 minute car journey where there are a number of resorts.
