“Casa del Cura� The name tells this was the former house of the priest of the village Tias. According to the building style of those days there was a huge inner patio giving access to all the surrounding rooms. In the last three decades the construction was modified and reorganized by different owners. A terrace with a big swimming pool was build at that side of the house located most far away from the road. Most of the bedrooms were equipped with an en-suite bathroom. The patio was roofed and is used nowadays as a huge living-room with sofas, tv and a fire-place.

Although a lot of reconstruction has been done the house is still an old house and far away from a new posh villa. This is much more a typical Canarian country house with its rural charm.

The house is ideally situated for those looking for a quiet relaxing holiday but with the convenience of being perfectly located to explore the island. Within minutes you can visit the beach at Puerto del Carmen, the marina Puerto Calero, the National Park of Timanfaya with the Fire Mountains or the fascinating landscape of La Geria where the vine production takes place. However it is highly recommended to rent a car to take advantage of the central position of this holiday accommodation.

Local Area Details

The village Tias is situated in the middle of the island only about 5 minutes away form the airport and from the capital. The popular holiday resort Puerto del Carmen with the 4mile beach strip and the famous nightlife is close but still far away enough. In the town centre Tias offers to the almost 5000 habitants and to the visitors a vast range of shops, bars and restaurants. Only a 2 minutes walk away from the house there is a minimarket that sells fresh bread, water, milk and other basics.

The house is located between the quarters “Lugar de Abajo� and “La Candelaria� at the fringe of the town. Access takes place from a main road connecting the town to the next village. Towards the road the large plot of approximately 5000m2 is surrounded by a wall. The house is separated from the street and the living area with the terrace and the pool are situated on the most sheltered site of the house away from the road.
