The cottage stands in 5 acres of wild flower meadows and ancient orchards. These are designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), in the heart of the ancient royal forest of Wyre. This forest is home to one of England's largest SSSIs and a National Nature Reserve. It teams with wildlife including deer, otters, and rumours of fiercer creatures, and is laced with miles of off road bridle, cycle and foot paths.
The cottage has 3 stars and is well equipped with all a family might need, from childrens' toys to hair dryer including catering facilities for up to 8 people.

The Wyre Forest lies on the banks of the River Severn, south of picturesque Bridgnorth on it's crag, and the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge. At the edge of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
More exotic animals can be seen and in some cases stroked at the West Midlands Safari Park, or your can travel through time on the Severn Valley (Steam)Railway, visit castles and stately homes, drink at dozens of quaint pubs or dine out in some of the best restaurants in Britain. Venturing further there are regular bus and rail services direct to nearby Birmingham City centre, where the International Convention Centre, Symphony Hall, National Indoor Sports Arena, National Sea Life Centre, Millennium Point, and newly openned Bullring shopping centre compete for your attention.
