About Weather/Climate/Temperature

Mt Hood has glacial snow year-round, but we have snow at the cabin only 5-6 times per season. The weather is mild, with considerable rain in the winter and spring. Summers are warm-to-hot and dry after July 4. Truly a lovely climate: green, clean and refreshing, no matter the season.

About Scenery/Beauty Spots

There are many hiking trails and drivable roads to lakes, waterfalls, and old-growth (200 + years) forests. Timberline Lodge, high atop Mt Hood, offers 360Ëš views of the Cascade Range. Look for quiet fishing holes along the many rivers. The Oregon geography changes from ocean to mountain to high desert in just 200 miles (3-4 hours drive!)
