River cottage is attached to the owners converted barn. Sleeps 6 + baby, recently renovated to a high and very comfortable standard. Providing you with the most relaxing of holidays.
The accommodation comprises of 3 bedrooms.
1 triple, 1 double and 1 single, with the added benefit of a large upstairs covered balcony.
Downstairs you will find a well furnished lounge with T.V and D.V.D player. Kitchen / Dining room, with all mod cons including dishwasher, hob, microwave etc... Bathroom with bath and shower over.
Highchair and travel cot are available for our younger guests. All linen, electricity and gas are included.

The cottage is set in just under 2 acres of land. It has a stream meandering through the grounds, leading to a river at the bottom of the garden, making River Cottage ideal for fishing holidays as full fishing rights are available, salmon, trout and eels can be found in season.
BBQ, patio furniture and sun loungers can be found in the garden for your use.

River cottage in set within the countryside of a Costa Verde village in Asturias. Located only 3 km away from the historic cider capital of Asturias, Villaviciosa. Which boasts a nature reserve alongside an estuary with spectacular sandy beaches.

at the famous 'Picos de Europe', canoeing, skiing in season (1 hour drive), cycling and fishing either on
our own river or sea fishing.
Villaviciosa also has a sports centre with indoor swimming pool.
Gijon, a large university city (15 minute drive), has a wonderful marina and sea front to explore, with many hidden charms and large recreation park. Other attractions include museums of Asturias, with replica buildings of age, and botanic gardens. This is also an ideal location for those wishing to seek some retail therapy, as is Oviedo the capital of Asturias (25 minutes).
Asturias is renowned for Dinosaurs as many were found in the construction of the new motorway. Footprints of dinosaurs can be found on Colunga beach, which also boasts a modern age dinosaur museum.
On days when you wish to laze around, the garden at River Cottage is an ideal place. Either to picnic or BBQ or simply to enjoy a glass of locally produced Sidra (similar to Cornish Scrumpy).

Whilst your children can join in, collecting eggs from our free range chickens, or attempting to catch one of the many dragonfly's and butterfly's which dart around the stream. If you watch quietly you may see one of the many red squirrels or kingfishers in the garden, and eagles soaring above.
