Renovated village house with sun terrace. 15 minutes' drive from Beziers, and 25 minutes from the Mediterranean Sea, it is ideally situated for a wonderful French holiday.

The house has 2 bedrooms. One is furnished for 4 people, with a double bed and a bunkbed. There is a reading lamp in the alcove above the double bed. The room features exposed wooden beams and a long window facing out on to the road outside. The second room has 2 single beds with bedside units and lamps for each. There is a wardrobe in both rooms, with a choice of quilts or blankets. Sheets are provided for your stay as part of the price.

The lounge is part of the open plan top floor which also contains the kitchen leading on to the sun terrace. There is a sofa and 2 armchairs for those relaxing evenings, and a TV/video which plays French TV programmes and videos and also British videos. The dining table is a tile-topped Breton style model with six matching wooden chairs.

The kitchen is next to the sun terrace which makes it really easy to prepare outdoor meals to take advantage of the wonderful South of France sunshine. It has two sinks, a cooker and a fridge (with freezer compartment).

The terrace is the perfect way to enjoy the glorious weather in this part of France. The tiled floor and natural stone walls give a wonderful ancient feel to the terrace, and there is a patio-table and chairs so you can take full advantage of the warm climate. There are views of the Caroux and Espinouse mountains, vineyards, the clocktower, the old ruined hospital, and the tumbling rooftops of the village.

Local Area Details

The village of St Genies is ideal for holidaymakers. There is a baker, a florist, a butcher, a minimarket, a tabac, a post office, a hairdresser, church, chapel and a cafe. Everything you need for an authentic French holiday. And if you don't like to feel isolated, just outside the village is a large Intermarche for all your needs.

If you want a mountain holiday, we're not far from the Espinouse and Caroux mountains (visible from the sun terrace), and for cyclists, you have a choice of flat and steep terrain. There are vineyards everywhere you look and the area is steeped in history and culture.

Nearby is Lamalou-les-Bains with its hot spas, golf and casino. Anglers can choose from the Herault and Orb rivers, and the house is convenient for the famous Canal du Midi.
