Villa in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands

Property Details of Fuerteventura Villa

Stunning sea views over the resort of Caleta de Fuste and the harbour greet you as you step out of your lounge and into your private swimming pool at this two bedroom villa rental.

Imagining pausing to admire the panoramic views over the golf course all the way to the sea before having a quick refreshing dip. And at night, the twinkling lights of the town and harbour below you.

The well furnished lounge opens directly on to the patio beside the swimming pool. The lounge has a television and DVD as well as English TV stations BBC 1, BBC 2. ITV and Channel 4 so you need not miss your favourite programmes.

There is a separate dining area and the kitchen is well equipped and includes an oven, hob, microwave, electric kettle etc and a washing machine.

The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. There is also a family bathroom.

Upstairs from the patio is a roof terrace for an extra sunbathing area.

A little less than a 20 minute walk will take you to the Montecastillo centre where there are a variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Entertainment can also be found around this area including on some of the time share complexes where you are welcome to use their bar facilities.

A further ten minutes walk will take you into Caleta de Fuste itself although you can hop on a little tourist train which will take you to the town or right through to the harbour and costs about one Euro.

Taxis are also cheap costing about three Euros from the town to the villa or from the main Atlantico shopping centre where there are boutiques, a large supermarket, bars and restaurants and beach all set in landscaped gardens.

Local Area Details

The up-and-coming resort of Caleta de Fuste is very much a town for couples and families. With a large sandy beach just a few minutes from your doorstep and restaurants and bars just as close, it is perfect for a relaxing holiday.
Less noisy, less bustling and more laid back than its larger, brasher counterparts on the other Canary Islands, Caleta is the place to come for a peaceful holiday.
More like Spain was 25 years ago, the town is clean, the locals friendly and there is a choice of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and pockets – Mexican, Chinese, Thai, Portuguese, Indian, Greek as well as traditional tapas, fish and steak bars.
Caleta is built around a large bay shaped like a horse shoe. The main beach is pale golden sand and designed to gently slope into the sea making for some of the safest bathing in Europe. You can go out some considerable distance and still be in water safe enough to stand up in so it is ideal for children.
Around the main beach are numerous beach cafes and bars so refreshments are never far away.
South of the main beach are a number of little sandy lagoon bays. These small bays are dotted with little stone circles to give privacy and have also been designed with families in mind.
These bays stretch all the way to a large shopping centre on the outskirts of the town where you will find boutiques, restaurants, bars and a large supermarket.
Here there are attractive gardens set around a pleasant lake.
Walking along the main beach promenade in the opposite direction will bring you to the harbour area. Here, water sports abound. An area has been especially cordoned off for water sports – wind surfing, jet ski and scuba diving can all be arranged from here and you can go snorkelling. There is a sea life centre and you can go on boat trips to go swimming with dolphins or whale watching.
Here also you can feed the wild but very tame chipmonks which will literally come up to you and eat out of your hand
A mini train runs from the harbour up the mountain overlooking the town to another centre where there are more bars and restaurants
In Caleta, there are plenty of shops to browse around, a Championship golf course, ten pin bowling, amusement arcades and several mini-golf courses. You can take a camel ride, go swimming with dolphins, enjoy a luxurious hydro-bubble bath, play tennis or go ten pin bowling.
In the evenings there is entertainment – anything from live acts to karaoke, quizzes and even bingo!
. You are welcome to use any of the hotels or large time share complexes which often have good cabaret acts and shows on and a varied entertainment programme at normal drinks prices.
Caleta is also the perfect base for exploring this island. An excellent bus service will take you to the sand dunes of Corralejo in the north or the lagoons and golden beaches of Morro Jable in the south. If you hire a car you can find deserted coves, little fishing villages and even the wreck of an ocean-going liner beached just yards off shore.
Plenty of charter companies and ticket companies offer flights to the island from all main UK airports. Visit our website at http://www.fuerteventura.uk.com
