Our apartment located in the small village of Pogerola is nestled in the hills above Amalfi, just five kilometres from the town centre, close enough to provide easy access to all the hustle and bustle of this popular seaside town, but far enough away to provide welcome peace and tranquillity. With spectacular views over the Gulf of Salerno, this rural village is approached from Amalfi by a panoramic drive, every twist and turn of the road providing remarkable sea views. It is a classic Mediterranean landscape, ranging from open meadows high above the sea to tightly cultivated terraces of lemon and olive groves, each clinging to the mountainside as if almost defying gravity. Pogerola is ideally suited to those who prefer a more relaxed pace of life, and have come in search of the real Italy. Local bars and restaurants provide a wide choice in local cuisine and homemade wine, and it all comes without the tourist price tag. Our apartment is situated on the top floor of a contemporary, purpose-built block in the Pogerola Valley, less than 1 km from the centre of Pogerola village. There is easy access by stairs and free on street parking is available nearby. The apartment comprises a large master bedroom with double bed, a second bedroom with two single beds, a spacious kitchen, a lounge with double sofa bed and bathroom. It benefits from a large private roof terrace overlooking Pogerola village and the surrounding valley, and providing beautiful sea views. The apartment is well maintained and tastefully decorated benefiting from both air conditioning and central heating.

Local Area DetailsPUBLIC TRANSPORT
Staying in Pogerola and using the excellent SITA public buses provides an economical way to discover the Amalfi Coast. You can visit places like Ravello, Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii. In the summer they provide connections to ferries departing from the port town of Amalfi for the Islands of Capri and Ischia. Beach lovers can reach the main Amalfi beaches in just 15 minutes.
SCENIC WALKING ROUTES
The presence of many old paths and stair cases between Pogerola and Amalfi which also connect them to the nearby villages, make Pogerola an ideal starting point for local highly scenic walking routes.
