Just a 30 minute flight from Mahé is Bird Island, a relaxed haven for twitchers and holiday makers alike. With just 24 individual bungalows, your accommodation is private and set in beautiful tropical grounds. Your king size four poster bed is complimented by a lounge area, and patio overlooking the gardens and ocean. More details of the rooms can be seen in ‘Room Enhancements’ above.

The restaurant has a good reputation for local cuisine using fresh fish and vegetables from the island, and the buffet style meals make for an informal and friendly atmosphere.
Babysitting: Yes. SR25 per hour on request basis.
The cottages are open to the tropical breezes at ceiling height, water is heated by solar panels.
Birding
During May to October, the island attracts millions of Sooty Terns which come here to nest. Year round there is a good variety of other birds. Hawksbill turtles also breed on the beach during the day from October to February.
