Bowen Island is approximately 6 km by 12 km most of which is Crown Land. Wildlife is all benign including many deer, grouse, pheasant, a family of beavers, Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, and osprey. There are several lakes, extensive trails, beaches and shoreline to explore. Local artisans, artists display their work in galleries and shops. There are several restaurants and grocers, liquor store, photo shop, pharmacy. Sea kayaks may be rented with experienced guides to view seals, sea lions and perhaps an orca whale. Boat tours of island on Sundays.
