Local Area Details

La Longere is about 6mls from Pontivy where you will be able to walk by the river, visit the shops and chateau, or simply relax in one of the many bars and cafes. There is a wealth of pretty villages in the area all worth a visit, and during the summer months there are many pardons, fetes and festivals where stangers are always made welcome. To the south Vannes is worth a visit with it's lovely old town, and the beaches at Quiberon are spectacular and safe for children. About 20mins away to the east is the town of Josselin with a beautiful chateau and museums. to the north there is the Lac de Guerledan with swimming, water sports, boat rides, walks etc. There are also golf courses in the area, and riding stables within easy reach. Your English and French speaking hosts will be very happy to help in any way.
