First thing in the morning, when you are admiring the view from your balcony, the sea is a sparkling silvery blue. By mid-day, when you are swimming in the crystal clear waters, which lap the pretty little beach, the sea is a rich translucent turquoise. By early evening, as you sip your drink and watch the sun go down, the sea is a deep, moody blue. These constantly changing colors were the inspiration behind the name for the collection of apartments called Blue Beach.
Local Area DetailsBlue Beach is on the north west of the Akrotiri peninsula of Crete, where the Mediterranean meets the Ionian Sea. The scenery here is so spectacular that it was used as the location for filming "Zorba the Greek". Today, it is still wonderfully unspoiled; an area of natural beauty and tranquility, yet only nine miles from Chania (pronounced, and sometimes spelt Hania) and the beautiful old Venetian port.
