Our modern villa is fully detached and has old stone walls to two sides & high hedges to the other two ensuring complete privacy. There is a lockable gate leading to the large driveway keeping everything(including children!) safe and secure. The kitchen is newly fitted & is fully equipped with gas cooker, d/washer, fridge/freezer & microwave.Breakfast bar with stools thru to lounge with Sat TV, CD/radio along with a selection of CDs,videos, books & board games. There are two double sofa beds for extra accommodation. The King size bedroom is accessed seperately and has its own en-suite shower room, the twin bedroom is large & airy with fitted wardrobes & the bunk bedded room also has a large wardrobe. The bathroom has bath with shower over, basin, bidet and large storage cupboard with a seperate toilet. Towels & hairdryer are supplied. Outside there is a verandah with large wooden table for outdoor dining along with a gas BBQ. The newly installed pool is 10x5 metres & has a large surround with loungers. There is plenty of room in the garden for a game of boules.
Local Area DetailsThe sleepy village of Paraza is on the banks of the Canal du Midi which means there is excellent walking & cycling along its banks, or if you're not feeling so energetic just a picnic with a glass of the excellent local wine & watch the world sail by! The village has two restaurants, a small shop, a depot du pain, butchers & several vans call each week for fish or vegetables. For a larger shop there are several supermarkets nearby. There is a tennis court, childrens play area and boules pitch near to the house. The wonderful wide sandy beaches of Narbonne (and many others) are just a 30 minute drive away as are the historic castles & chateaus of Cathar country-the most famous being Carcassonne.
