Hidden away at the end of a leafy track following a meandering trout stream, you will find Le Moulin. Situated in its own south-facing plot of landscaped gardens overlooking a wooded valley, with access to the trout stream & pretty meadow........... There are no exciting activities for children.............Le Moulin is a secluded hideaway for those of us with busy lives who appreciate the simple joys of the countryside. With its extensive gardens & riverside walks, what better place to indulge in the pleasure of having a little time to oneself.

The quality of decoration & high standard of comfort in the cottage reflects the fact that it has been our own home for a number of years. We shall be discreetly on hand next door to give any assistance or information that might be required by our guests. A variety of home-made breads & brioche are available from our kitchen, along with seasonal organic vegetables from our potager and eggs from our happily free ranging hens. For those who wish to take a complete break from cooking and would prefer their holiday on a B&B basis, arrangements can be made accordingly.

As the cost of a flight fom Stanstead to Limoges is so cheap, it might be worth considering the cost of hiring a car for your holiday. Le Moulin is approx a one hour drive from the airport. You could be relaxing in the garden at Le Moulin within a few short hours of leaving the U.K.

Local Area Details

Until recently the beautiful countryside of the Limousine has been overlooked by the british tourist as they race south toward the heavily populated attractions of Provence & the Dordogne. However the beautiful landscape of the Creuse, Known as La Vert et Bleu, remains almost untouched by time and is a haven for the wildlife which inhabit its rolling hills & forests, rivers & lakes.

One of the outstanding attractions of this area is the 2,500 acre Lac Vassiviere with its sandy beaches. An impressive expanse of water with something to offer everyone, from Creuse trips & restaurants to swimming & fishing. It can be favourably compared to lake Windermere in the english lake district (But with sunshine and without the number of tourists! )

Aubusson is within easy reach, famed throughout history for its tapestries. Museums and outlets dedicated to this ancient art can be found in the quaint streets of this handsome old town.
