Lamayou is a small village in the Atlantic Pyrenees, about 30km north Pau. Here you can make wonderful hikes in French Baskenland, but even the Atlantic Ocean is close by.
Here you truly in the countryside, but close to the Vic and Bigorre, where there are various shops, supermarkets and traditional craft shops. But also diverse services like doctors, dentist and a lab. Each Sunday morning there is a big market with local products and there is a movie house and library. The house is so 'Demeure de Maître', a big gentlemen’s house from 1831 in the form of a horseshoe with big rooms on the ground floor and a bit more intimate rooms on the floor.
