Kingfisher Retreat is a newly constructed luxury bed & breakfast with a Mediterranean influence. For your comfort all rooms are ensuite and equipped with TV, stereo, alarm clocks and coffee/tea making facilities. The two ground floor rooms ('Kingfisher' and 'West wing') each have a private entrance, whilst the upper floor room has a balcony with sea views. The ‘West wing’ has a 36” TV and private patio area.
There are Internet, email and laundry facilities and a Guest fridge.
Local Area DetailsThe Bay of Islands abounds with opportunities to enjoy outdoors activities and nature. A must for most people is a cruise to the Hole In The Rock and Cape Brett. We offer our guests a booking service for trips with Fullers Bay of Islands, R. Tucker Thompson’s classic schooner ship, and many others. For fishing the Bay is heaven; Snapper to Marlin, the choice is yours! We can book your fishing trip, be it for a couple of hours or all day. Yacht charters, Parasailing, Diving, Sky Diving, Sightseeing by air, Horseback adventures, its all here. Waitangi, the birthplace of New Zealand, is a 25-minute drive away. Russell, the old capital of New Zealand, is accessible via the car ferry at Opua or the passenger ferry at Paihia.

We reserve the right to charge your credit card one night’s accommodation should you “not show” or cancel with less than 48 hours prior to your arrival date.
During the “peak” periods should you cancel within ten days of the scheduled arrival date we reserve the right to charge 50% of the total booking.
Our normal check-in time is from 2 pm.
Our normal checkout time is 10.00 am.
