Welcome to “Rastaillou”

In the midst of 4 ha. of grassy fields and surrounded by wood-lands you will find “Rastaillou”, a completely restored old farm where warm hospitality, peace, quiet and unspoiled nature will guarantee you a wonderful holiday.

Savour the tranquillity and space of this lovely setting. Enjoy the bountiful Dutch-French buffet breakfasts or take part in delicious meals at our Table d’Hôtes in the company of your travel companions and our other guests.

We will gladly share with you our love for the beautiful Périgord Noir and advise you on the many activities this region has to offer. This is an area for walking, for bicycling, for strolling through charming villages and beautiful old medieval towns, for a look at its many castles and churches and for visiting some of its many other age-old sights.

During the summer months there are many music and theatre festivals, concerts, markets and open-air performances to be enjoyed in the surrounding communities.

The Guest Rooms

The old stables of the farm have been carefully restored and converted to house four very comfortable guestrooms on the top floor, each with its own bathroom and toilet. Three of the rooms are for two persons, the fourth room has a third bed. We have also a crib available for our smallest guests.

Our rooms are available all year, but from November 1 to April 1
only by reserving ahead !

We regret we cannot allow pets in our guests rooms !

The Swimming Pool

After a day of visiting the region, after an invigorating walk through the forest in search of the famous “Cêpes de Bordeaux” mushrooms, or after a canoe or kayak trip on the Dordogne, you can relax by and in our swimming pool of 12 by 6 meters.

The pool is available to all our guests and conforms to all French safety regulations.


The Cottages

“La Bergerie”

This spacious cottage is suitable for 2-6 persons. It is comprised of a large living room with TV, 2 bedrooms and an additional sleeping nook, a completely equipped kitchen, a bathroom with full bath and shower, and a separate toilet. It has a large private terrace with a covered seating area.

“La Forge”

This smaller but charming cottage offers room to 2-3 persons and has its own small terrace with lots of privacy. It has one bedroom, a living room with corner kitchen and a bathroom with shower and toilet.


The Tents

Beginning with the 2006 camping season we also have a number of tents available. The are equipped with all comforts, including full beds (4), a camping kitchen with refrigerator, pots, pans, utensils, cutlery and glasses.
A set of wooden garden furniture is available for each tent. See backside of brochure for prices.

Pets are allowed in the cottages and tents providing they are kept on a leash when warranted and do not disturb our other guests!

Our Table d’Hôtes

From Wednesday through Sunday we offer you a delicious meal consisting of:

entrée – main course – cheese/dessert for € 19,00.

Housewine is available by carafe (1/4, 1/2 and 1/1 liter) for € 8,00 per liter, other wines by the bottle at € 10,00, € 15,00 or € 20,00.

Coffee, beer, limaonades € 1,25.

The Activities at “Rastaillou”

Depending on interest the following courses/workshops are planned for the fall of 2009:

• Digital photography
