Property Details of Madeira Apartment
Set in a cliff top position facing out to sea, this 2nd floor apartment commands outstanding uninteruppted views. Situated well away from the road,in a quiet location with private garden and shared swimming pool.It is a small apartment block, serviced with both lift and stairway. Inside it is fully carpeted (with exception of Kitchen and bathrooms) and an hallway with rooms off. All rooms are a good size and very light. The lounge/diner overlooks the ocean and is approximately 30ft long with french doors opening onto the main balcony. There is a TV/dvd/cd player and some dvd's, CDs,a CD/cassette player.There is large selection of books. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with bath/shower , bidet etc.a double bed,ceiling fan above. bedside tables, dressing tabe, fitted wardrobes and doors opening onto a small balcony. The second bedroom has twin beds, fitted wardrobes, bedside table and doors opening onto a small balcony. The main bathroom is also fitted with bath, shower, bidet etc. The kitchen is a good size, with a washing machine, fridge/freezer, hob/oven, microwave, and glass door to partly closed-in balcony with washing line.
The apartment is fully equipped, with weekly linen and towels change and cleaning between lets.
Welcome pack, pool towels, hairdryer are supplied.
There are several swimmings complexes within a short walk.
Local Area DetailsThe apartment is situated on the popular Estrada Monumental, where many 5 star hotels and restaurants, such as "Reids" (a well known colonial hotel), are located. It is within walking distance of many restaurants, shops and banks, a taxi rank and bus stop. The main town of Funchal is about 15 minutes walk.
Additional InformationAbout TransportThere is a bus stop a few minutes from the apartment and taxi ranks.
Also several hire car offices close by, although a hire car is not necessary for the property, as it is very central. Our taxi driver who is able to arrange tours for you if you wish, and we can arrange transport to and from the airport for you.
There are 2 golf courses on the island- Palherio Golf Course which is a 20 minute drive from the apartment and we are also members of this club and able to arrange a 30% discount for you on green fees. The other golf course is Santo de Serra a 35 -40 min drive from the apartment.
