Property Details of Burgundy Cottage
On the ground floor is a large, family sized room with lots of space for the kitchen/dining room. Original terracotta tiled floor, oak beams and wood burning stove. The well-equipped kitchen is at the garden end of this room. Off this room is a parquet floored sitting room with settee and easy chairs. Also off the kitchen diner is a small corridor with separate toilet, laundry room and large shower. A pine staircase leads to the first floor landing off which are 3 bedrooms, a separate toilet and a bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed, one twin beds and the third 3 singles. They all have views of either the garden or out over the meadows of the village. They are all heated by electric radiators.
Local Area DetailsPainblanc is a small farming village set in gently rolling countryside with a wealth of wildlife, particularly birds. The canal de Bourgogne is nearby and there is excellent walking and cycling on the doorstep. The nearest small town with most facilities, including banks and garages is 7kms away and boulangerie vans visit the village most days. There is a wealth of chateaux, churches and vineyards in the area and Dijon, Beaune, Autun, Vezelay and Abbaye de Fontenay are within easy reach.
