2 BR Holiday Home (Garden level Guest Suite) sleeps 6 people - bedroom one has Queen size bed and doors to the patio, bedroom two has one single bed and a bunk bed (which has a double bed on the bottom and single bed on the top), and there is room for a toddler bed if needed, there is also a play-pen available; living room has fireplace, dining area, double sofa-bed, doors to garden. Fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, patio with table, chairs & BBQ.

Our guests are welcome to enjoy our family swimming pool during the hot summer months, and there is also a 6-person Jacuzzi hot-tub for our visitors to enjoy year-round.

Our property is a haven for nature lovers. From your patio you will be able to watch the hummingbirds at the feeders - they are frequent visitors in the summer months. In the early mornings and in the evenings we are visited by a small herd of White-tailed deer as they go to the river to drink. We also have a river where you can fish - a permit will be required.

In Autumn this area sees the appearance of tens of thousands of Birds of Prey as they gather at nearby Hawk Cliff to prepare for their Fall migration to Central and South America. September is the time to see great numbers of Red Tailed Hawks, Harriers, Eagles and Turkey Vultures.

We have some small farm animals here, ducklings, chickens and Pygmy goats - our mother goats had babies in summer 2006 and more are due in July 2007. We love having guests who enjoy wildlife and nature - your children are sure to enjoy feeding the baby animals!

For a holiday for the whole family, we have so much to offer here at the Sunnybrook Farm Holiday Home. Great shopping in nearby St Thomas (5 minutes) & London (15 minutes), beaches just 10 minutes away, fishing in our river, hiking at nearby Conservation Area's, both casual and fine dining are available in St Thomas, and entertainment for the whole family(cinemas, museums & art galleries).

Local Area Details

St. Thomas retains all the charm of a small town and is a community known for friendly people, easy, inexpensive living in safe neighbourhoods with abundant, accessible parkland and community facilities including several Golf courses nearby.

In 15 minutes you can be in the pretty fishing village of Port Stanley or the Provincial Park at Port Burwell, enjoying the peace and tranquility of some of the last remaining Carolinian forest in Ontario. Nearby Port Stanley has one of the finest stretches of sandy beach on the north shore of Lake Erie and the village is a popular destination for day-trippers. The Conservation Areas at Dalewood and Springwater both have hiking trails and lakes where boat or canoe rentals are available.

There are 17 Public and Semi-private Golf courses in the London and St Thomas area - all of which are within a 30 - 40 minute drive of the Sunnybrook Holiday Home. Southern Ontario enjoys long, hot summers which makes it ideal golfing country!

About Beaches

In ten minutes you can be on the north shore of Lake Erie at Port Stanley, where there are two beaches for you and your family to enjoy. The small beach is ideal for families with small children as the beach is sandy and sheltered and the water is shallow. The big beach is more lively and seems to be where there is more activity going on, lifeguards are on duty during the summer months and you can enjoy a drink or a meal at GT's bar on the beach.

About Fishing

Our property has a stretch of river where many of our guests enjoy fishing - we supply the fishing rods, all you have to do is catch the worms! There are a number of nearby Conservation Area's where fishing is allowed, in addition to Lake Erie which is just a 15 minute drive from here.

About Local Restaurants

St Thomas enjoys a wide selection of restaurants ranging from inexpensive fast food joint, favoured by children, to cozy country diners where you can enjoy hearty, home-cooked fare. There is also a selection of fine restaurants where you can enjoy a more elegant meal is lovely surroundings - St Thomas has restaurants to suit everyone's taste!

About Walking

There are several Conservation Areas close to the Sunnybrook Farm where guests can enjoy either a leisurely walk beside a peaceful lake, or a more exhilarating hike through the forest. Guided Hikes can be arranged if required, just let us know and we will be happy to make arrangements for you to have the services of an experienced Guide.
