The spacious open plan living area comprises kitchen, dining area and comfortable lounge. The kitchen is equipped with dish washer, washing machine, fridge freezer, full size gas cooker, microwave etc. The lounge and dining areas are well furnished with local items giving an authentic flavour. There is a CD based hi fi system and TV/DVD are available if required. On the ground floor is a pretty twin bedroom and a fully tiled "wet room" design shower room with wc and wash basin.- both adding to the wheel chair friendliness of this accommodation. Upstairs by way of an attractive turning staircase, there are two double and one twin bedroom, all furnished in local oak furniture providing ample storage and with views to the ancient village of Vaussais and its 11th century church. The second bathroom comprises a marble-topped vanity basin, shower, wc and heated towel rail. An attractive galleried landing overlooks the atrium and courtyard garden.
The gite has its own garden , barbeque table and chairs and a courtyard patio also with table and chairs.The 10 x 5 metre fully terraced pool is securely fenced to meet all french safety standards, and sun loungers are provided. Within our 3 acres of grounds are a wide range of plantings, and a number of magnificent trees, several of which pre date the house. Swings, table tennis and other games are available on site.

Local Area Details

Golf is available at Niort, Poitiers and Cognac. Horseriding and fishing are also available locally. Cycling and walking opportunities are limitless. We are within a 90 minute drive of numerous beaches to be found in and around La Rochelle.
