With its magnificent hilltop position at 700m a.s.l., Palazzo del Gastaldo reminds to the ancient splendour of a fortified hamlet of the "longobardo" period. The estate is entirely fenced off and has an extension of 18 acres with a wood with tracks ideal for walkings till the top of a hill from where it is possible to admire a spectacular and enchanting view. In a similar position there is a nice little lake where various types of bird and fish live (it is possible to fish. The main building of the property is divided into five apartments: in two of them the owners live, the biggest apartment Il Gastaldo, the old defence La Torre and the ancient stable La Scuderia. The rural annexe has 2 apartments and a beautiful rustic sitting-dining room with wood oven, barbecue and hi-fi system. On request and to be paid locally small groups can rent it and have exclusive use. On request the owner prepare typical Umbrian dishes. Near the annexe, in a quiet and always sunny position, there is a nice swimming pool (13mx6,5m) with equipped solarium. The apartments have been restored with respect to the originality of the buildings and are furnished with rustic and antique pieces; each of them have a private outdoor equipped area (small garden, portico or pergola). At guests' disposal and in common use: a vaste garden with shaded corners, gazebo with table tennis, parking. Week-end accommodation on request. Washing machine to be paid locally.
