Local Area Details

Lagos is a beautiful coastal town within easy reach of Cape St Vincent to the west, Monchique and the hills to the north and the fishing port of Portamaio to the east. Faro airport is an easy drive of 45 minutes on the new motorway and can also be reached by rail from the station in Lagos, which is a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The border of Spain is also an easy drive and can be reached within 2 hours.
The historic town of Lagos with its warren of cobbled streets full of restaurants and interesting shops is an enjoyable 20-minute walk from the apartment. This picturesque walk takes you through the marina, over a footbridge which is periodically opened for yachts to pass through and on along the beautiful esplanade beside the boat channel to the left and the old town to the right. For golfers, the town is surrounded by world famous courses, Penina, Palmares and Boa Vista to name but a few. There is so much to explore in this scenic area of the Western Algarve that return visits from clients are the norm!
