BerwickUponTweed and the surrounding area offers a wide variety of activities for the visitor In the town itself there are plenty of restaurants and entertainments as well as the shopping area From the imposing Town Hall in Marygate you can follow the Lowry trail take a walk on the quay to the lighthouse and also walk along the Elizabethan ramparts that surround the town all these are within walking distance from the flat

Adjacent in the area is an 18 hole golf course tennis courts and with the Swan leisure center a 1015 min walk away There is a pleasant beach situated near the flat and a larger one can be found at Spittal
