The cottages are in the extremely friendly little community of St Nicolas des Eaux, a delightful riverside village in a conservation area on the banks of the beautiful river Blavet.
It's some 3km from Plumeliau between Pontivy and Baud in Morbihan.
The properties are in a lane of attractive, renovated 18th century former Breton farmworkers' stone-built cottages, many thatched.
KINGFISHER COTTAGE ( Sleeps 6 + baby )
A spacious cottage with some parts dating back 500 years. It has full gas central heating. The large sitting and dining room is fully furnished and has a log fire, DVD player, French and English TV and radio. The beamed farmhouse kitchen has full gas cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and everything for comfortable living. Three double bedrooms upstairs have two double and two single beds and ample space for a cot. Duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are all provided. There is a modern shower room with toilet and wash basin. The large enclosed garden with lawns, flower beds, fruit trees and garden furniture and barbeque,is totally enclosed and is safe for childred.
PUFFIN COTTAGE ( Sleeps 4 + baby) has an oak-beamed fully-furnished lounge/dining room with log burner , DVD player, TV for English satellite programmes and radio. The adjoining kitchen has a full electric cooker, toaster, coffee percolator, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, automatic washing machine and microwave. There are two bedrooms upstairs with one double and two 3ft beds. Duvets, pillows bed linen and towels are provided. The bathroom has a shower, flush wc, hot and cold water. The large grassed garden (52 metres long) has tables, chairs, barbecue and is fully enclosed.

VILLAGE ACTIVITIES Just a very short stroll from your front door you find the village creperie and a bar where fresh bread is available each morning to order There are several riverside bars two restaurants an antiques centre and cave (wine sales). Swimming pool free available for use by our guests in the grounds of our local hotel which also has crazy golf, an outside bar and boules court. Cycling hiking and walking are well catered for and are popular (there are new mountain bikes for our guests to use with our compliments). Angling: The river Blavet is wide, slowmoving and navigable, abounds with wildlife and is one of France's finest angling rivers. Rods are available for hire and daily or period angling permits and baits are available (Children under 14 do not need permits). Fun Afloat: Canoe and pedalo hire, riverboat excursions -- and of course our river launch which is available fo self drive hire at £50 per day.
