The property is named after the climbing Campsis that grows along the balcony with its big orange, trumpet like flowers. Maison de La Campsis overlooks the main garden with a patio area for eating 'al frisco of an evening.
The smaller of our properties, Maison de la Campsis, is all on the ground floor even though there is a room above, this area is only used for storage. The living area of this property is open plan and feels like an extension to the garden as one side is all windows, that lets in the morning sun, due to the position it is screened from the mid day and evening sun but is still light and airy. You enter into lounge area that leads onto the kitchen and dining area to the far end. The living area has wooden floors that you can still see the makes of school chairs from its original use as classrooms, to reflect the airy feel it has been decorated simply with wood and a white trowel finish plaster and modern colouring in the pictures and kitchen units.

Both the bedrooms are off the lounge area and also have wooden floors, they enjoy the evening sunsets, the twin room is large enough for a third bed and the double bedroom has room to accommodate a cot. The accommodation is cleaned and beds made for your arrival, to provide you with a comfortable start to your holiday.

The bathroom is by the entrance door and has a bath, shower, sink & WC.
Bath towels can be hired from 5€ per person.

If you wish to have a truly relaxing break a cook can be arranged to cater for your lunchtime and evening meals and we can offer a maid service, this service can be offered for just one day or the duration of your stay. Babysitting can also be offered in the evening.

The Old School House of Passirac built at the turn of the century for the neighbouring Chateau owners children and used by the Red Cross during the war Today having been lovingly and sympathetically renovated they make a fabulous very reasonably a priced holiday house Overlooking the local church and rolling countryside set in just under an acre of gardens filled with fragrant shrubs Our aim is to bring together French lifestyles with the best of British hospitality We try to ensure that everyone in your party enjoys themselves to the full Maison St Louis may not be elegant or manicured but it is brimming with character and charm making it comfortable and a very relaxing place for holidays and celebrations The Property Grounds and Games Room The property is set on a quiet village lane a small lane leads you to the rear of the property onto our large driveway with ample private parking the garden is on two levels the top level has flower beds a decked area and a shaded Gazebo perfect for eating al fresco on lazy summer evening the lower level is lawn large enough for a game of badminton football or cricket and the swimming pool area is situated here the pool and Jacuzzi are enclosed and look over the rolling hills and woodland all of the garden is secluded and enclosed Each property has its own out door seating area At Maison St Louis we understand the importance of having fun so we have a small bar area which opens up onto the top terrace and leads through to the games room You can bring your own drinks here and mix with other guest play cards or darts and for those not wanting to use the outdoor BBQs there is an indoor BBQ Outside the bar area is an large BBQ and communal seating In the games room you will find table tennis a football table books and numerous board games For the sporty one we have a multi gym and other gym equipment and are happy to show you running paths that you can take The Area Passirac is situated between Chalais and Barbezieux in the South Charente Brossac is just a short walk away with its beach fronted swimming lake and restaurants Close to the borders of Charente Maritime and Dordogne Making Passirac an ideal base for people wishing to explore the area Passirac is nestled in the hills and forest of the Charente Brossac is the local village and provides basic shopping needs it can be reached by car or a pleasant walk through the countryside Lake Vallier the swimming lake of Brossac is less than two miles away with its beautiful scenery and sandy shores Chalais and Barbezieux are only 15km away both of these towns have weekly markets where locals sell their produce you can sample different foods and wines They both have supermarkets and interesting places to visit Both neighbouring towns have openair swimming pools The Atlantic Ocean is only 50 miles away The beautiful countryside boasts glorious Chateaux charismatic small towns ideal for rambling walks and Roman art not forgetting the fine wines Pineau and Cognac Restaurants can be found scattered around at prices to meet anyones budget A short drive away is the historical town of Angouleme to the north and the city of Bordeaux to the south Services We are more than happy to tell you our stories of moving to France drive you to a local restaurant so everyone can sample the local wines book you on local Pineau Cognac tours at local farms As mentioned previously a cook can be arranged to cater for your lunchtime and evening meals and we can offer a maid service this service can be offered for just one day or the duration of your stay and for those with small children we offer a babysitting service for a nominal fee We also have a Fully Qualified English Mobile Beauty Therapist offering a full range of treatments for those who would like to be pampered during your holiday or simply relax in our luxury heated spa We the owners are on site but do try to respect your privacy the overall property is very large so it is not hard to do so We want you to be perfectly looked after and enjoy your stay at Maison St Louis so please ask if you have any special needs to ensure a more relaxing holiday
