Bryn Berwyn country house is a family holiday home set in a small cluster of residential houses, on a very quiet road that connects the minor coastal roads with the main A487 coast road. The minor coastal road provides a spur road right down to the beach of Tresaith. This is a safe, sandy, family beach that has been awarded the Blue Flag and has easy access for launching all manner of light craft, a hidden 50-foot waterfall, fabulous rock pools and dogs are allowed on one half of the beach (1st May - 30th September). The beach front has been quietly developed with one gastro pub, shop and public WC (including shower) - in keeping with the hamlet of Tresaith. Bryn Berwyn is set ½ mile behind and above the beach (10-minute walk). This grand Edwardian house that has commanding views across Cardigan Bay was originally built for a sea captain in 1909. It has changed hands and use a few times over nearly 100 years but is now a well established large family holiday home, very spacious with excellent facilities. The whole of the local area is rich and diverse - lovely walks, beautiful beaches and well stocked rivers allowing great opportunities to see dolphins, seals and otters. Not to mention fantastic bird life including rare birds such as the Red Kite and the Peregrine falcon! There are rare farm breeds in the area and regular country shows and markets. Alternatively there are plenty of modern day attractions a short drive away such as water parks, adventure parks, farm parks, paintball, quad biking, go-karting, surfing, sailing, adrenalin boat trips and even a ski slope!
Whether visitors need a quiet relaxing holiday - walking, taking in the sea air and eating locally produced nutritious food (there is a great farm shop 2 miles away) - or a good base from which to explore West Wales, Bryn Berwyn offers excellent comfort and value all year round. The garage behind the house also serves as an office for the owner who is always available should any help or advice be required.

The coastline boats fantastic beaches, Wonderful views and a selection of Wildlife not often found in other parts of Wales, From Dolphins and porpoises to the Red Kite that patrols the coast line and inland areas.

About Weather/Climate/Temperature

The West Coast of Wales is very temperate. Summers can be Balmy and very sunny. But as with all westerly locations the milder climate also brings a degree of rain. Be prepared for all season in one day but generally the summer months are wonderful and very sunny.

About Bars

The Local PUB and Restaurant in Tresaith is the Ship Inn. It boasts a lovely bar and restaurant with a range of food from simple fare to locally caught mackarel and lobster. A lovely outside seating area overlooking the beach and sea provides a great place to sit and watch the world go by on sunny days. The Other villages of LLangrannog, Newquay and Aberaeron all have great Bars, Pubs and restaurants for all tatstes and budgets.

Cardigan the nearest Market Town has a hoast of Pubs and Bars with one Nightclub - Gabriells.

About Transport

West Wales is best see and enjoyed by Car. However the bus services are on the whole dependable and on time.

Tresaith means 7th Beach - So as you can guess we have 7 local beaches all of them very beautiful and accessible.

About Golfing

there are two local 9 hole courses - Pentregat and Cardigan - Both availble on a apay as you play basis.

About Sailing

There are Boating clubs at Patch in Cardigan, Newquay and Aberaeron. All offer sailing instruction and courses subject to availibility.

About Skiing

There is a SKI slope at Llangrannog, open to all ages an abilities, witha fully fledged coaching staff.

About Fishing

The local fishing for Bass and Mackrel is excellent in season, And boats may be locally chartered for the more adventerous angler

Cardiff is the nearest commercial airport, However Private Light aircraft may land at Aberport by arrangment.
