Situated on a working smallholding in rural West Wales,
approximately 5 miles from the coast.
Panoramic views over farmland to the sea.
Ideal base for families wishing to explore
Cardigan Bay, Cambrian Mountains and local tourist attractions.
The building is made from local stone and has been recently converted
from a 4 bay cow shed, stable and hay loft.
The Cottage consists of:
Open plan kitchen and lounge
Kitchen is fully equipped and has an electric cooker,
fridge with ice box and a microwave oven.
Lounge has a small dining area and a seating area
with TV. The sofa can be converted into a double
bed if necessary. There is a feature stone wall.
Stairs lead to a double bedroom with galleried area
and a large walk in storage cupboard containing
hanging rails & chest of draws.
The view from this window is fantastic looking out
over the valley where sheep & cattle graze on
farmland taking in distant sea views.
Children’s bedroom with bunk beds leads off from
double bedroom and has a velux window.
Between the 2 bedrooms there is a bathroom with
wc, hand basin and shower.
All rooms have electric heating
Immediately outside the cottage is a patio which catches the sun mid afternoon &
evening. The ideal place to sit for a glass of wine and to unwind after a busy day exploring local attractions.
The patio is often visited by our free range ducks
which consist of Karki Cambell, Aylesbury and Indian Runner ducks.
Situated in 5 acres which is mostly
grazing for rare breed Soay sheep and
some local Welsh Mountain sheep, some of which are quite tame and may approach you.
You are quite welcome to walk in the fields and down to the small lake.
Local Area DetailsGeneral Information Bethania is a very small village and the nearest shop is approximately 2 miles away at Cross Inn where you can buy most basic supplies and they do have an off licence The nearest large supermarket is in Aberystwyth We do usually have vegetables salad duck eggs for sale on our holding and meat can often be bought from another holding nearby If you wish us to buy any basic groceries for you on your arrival please let us know in advance There are two local pubs one in Penuwch and one in Cross Inn which are both approximately 2 miles away We would recommend The Penuwch Inn where good food can be had at reasonable prices Their menu includes vegetarian and childrens options The nearest beach is at Llanrhystud about 5 miles away It is safe to swim here and apart from high tide there is a good sandy beach In Aberaeron there are dolphin spotting boat rides around Cardigan Bay and further along the coast Seals come to breed in the late summer Red kites are well established and can be seen in abundance in and around our holding as with Common BuzzardsChoughs etc Local Tourist Attractions Ceredigion has many tourist attractions Within easy reach are Fantasy Farm Park Llanerchaeron National Trust house with walled garden Gold and Silver mines Tregaron Red Kite centre Pentre Bach Aberaeron Craft Centre Borth animalarium and many more It is also possible to take a day trip to Snowdonia from here
