JUST 50 METRES FROM THE BEACH AND 10 MINUTES DRIVE TO THE CENTRE OF TOWN,Abalone Beach house is a light and airy, 5 bedroom 5 bathroom, triple
story property, which sleeps a maximum of ten. It boasts a comfortable
living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, balconies and
spacious sun deck, all of which have spectacular views.

Your rental will include a daily (Mon-Fri) maid service.

All rooms have large sliding doors which open onto either the garden
or balconies.

Master Bedroom
This spacious room is stunning leading onto balconies on both sides of
the room, and has sunshine throughout the day. The queen size bed will
offer you hours of comfort and a great night sleep. The decor is a
fusion of whites and creams, and white washed furniture. Tranquility
reigns in this light and airy room with its relaxed beachy finish. The
en-suite bathroom has both a bath and shower.

Bedroom 2
This large room also has a contemporary beach feel with a comfortable
queen size bed and an additional single bed. It also leads onto
balconies on either side of the room. The en-suite bathroom has a shower.

Bedroom 3
Almost identical to bedroom 2, it also has an en-suite bathroom but
the sliding doors open onto the garden.

Bedroom 4
A little smaller than the other rooms, with a double bed and a
bathroom just across the passage, also leading onto the garden.

Bedroom 5
Another large room with a double and a single bed and en-suite bathroom.

Lounge, dining room and wraparound sun deck
These areas, along with the kitchen, occupy the entire top floor of
the house and flow into each other. With large sliding glass doors all
around and 360 degree views of the sea, mountains and forest. If you
can tear yourself away from the views, there is of course a CD stereo
system, DVD player and satellite TV.

The Kitchen
Eating well is important to us, so the large galley style kitchen
comes equipped with everything you need, and amazing views of its own.
The inventory includes a side-by-side fridge-freezer, electric hob and
oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, blender, toaster, kettle,
pots and pans, serving dishes and much more.......

The Beach
The 8kms of uninterrupted pristine white sand that is Keurbooms beach
is bordered on one side by the dramatic Tsitsikamma coastline and on
the other by the mouth of the Keurbooms lagoon. A sun lovers paradise
by day and by night the perfect place to take a moonlight stroll
(clothing optional!).

Local Area Details

THINGS TO DO AND PLACES TO SEE!

Plettenberg Bay is one of the most richly diverse resorts in the
world! From African safaris to world class golf courses, from whale
and dolphin watching to paragliding and beyond. Here there really is
something for everyone.
The following is an abbreviated list of activities within a 15 minute
drive from the Beach House. We hope this will help you understand how
appealing this area is.

BEACHES
Beside the one on our doorstep, there are many others, each with its
own unique character. From isolated pocket beaches bounded by rocky
cliffs that will make you feel like a castaway, to the family oriented
central beach. If you collect beaches, this is the ideal place for you.

WHALE AND DOLPHIN WATCHING
Our bay is home to an estimated year round population of 100 thousand
dolphins (3 different species), and between June and December, the
majestic Southern Right Whales take up residence in the bay. We are
also visited by Humpback Whales and Orcas. The beach house itself is
an excellent vantage point to view these magnificent animals. If you
prefer a really close encounter, then daily boat safaris or a guided
sea kayaking trip is the way to go.

GAME VIEWING
With 2 game reserves and several animal sanctuaries......if its Africa
you want, it is Africa you will get.

WATER SPORTS
Sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, kite surfing and sea
kayaking are all on offer. If you are looking for something more
relaxed, why not rent a boat or canoe and take a leisurely trip up the
beautiful Keurbooms river reserve.

HIKING TRAILS
Way too many to mention, but we think you shouldn't miss the Robberg
Peninsula nature reserve or the Arch Rock coastal walk. A little
further afield (45 min drive), is the dramatic Tsitsikamma Coastal
Nature Reserve with the world renowned Otter Trail.

ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES
Why not step out of your comfort zone and try the worlds highest bunjy
jump, or a tandem sky dive in what is known as one of the most
beautiful jump sites in the world.

PARAGLIDING
If, like me, you are a paraglider, then you must bring your wing!
There is a great launch site on the hill directly behind the beach
house, which gives you about 5kms of sea facing ridge to fly (I often
see large pods of dolphins and whales from the air). Your landing
sites are either on the beach, directly in front of the beach house,
or (my favorite option)next to Enrico's Restaurant at Kettle beach,
where you can reward yourself with a cold drink and have the family
join you for a excellent meal. PS: There are many other great sites,
both thermic and ridge, within a 45 minute drive.

GOLF
The Gary Player designed Goose Valley Golf Course, and the Plettenberg
Bay Country Club are both world class options.

FISHING
From deep sea, to rock and surf, to lagoon and river. From big game to
fly, if you're an angler you'll think you've died and gone to heaven.
