In an idyllic location for a relaxing holiday yet near to plenty of facilities. The cottage is in a terrace of original Coastguard's cottages and enjoys open views of the sea and countryside. Warmed by multifuel central heating backed up by electric heater, if needed. An original Yorkshire range occupies the dining kitchen as a decorative feature. The dining kitchen contains an oven & hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. The lounge has a TV, Freeview, video player and cd/radio. There are books and board games. A wood/smokeless fuel burning stove for cosy evenings and it heats the water. A french door provides a good view of the countryside. This is a south facing room which enjoys sunlight for most of the day.
A double bedroom with cast iron bed and cast iron fireplace (which is decorative only). This leads to a bathroom with roll top bath and shower over, toilet, sink & towel warmer. The twin bedroom is accessible through the double, this has a sea view. Both rooms are private and access to the bathroom is private from either room. There is a garden with a summerhouse. Good walks from the door and dogs are welcome. A short walk down a winding path leads to a sandy beach which extends for 8 miles.

Old Saltburn was a notorious place for smuggling and there is now a Smugglers visitor centre to find out all about it Saltburn-by-the-sea is a Victorian town which was created for the tourist to enjoy It still has the atmosphere and refinement of the Victorian period with many interesting buildings a pier and an original water powered cliff lift to transport one from the town to the beach if one doesnt wish to walk As well as walking you can enjoy surfing or horseriding lessons on the beach There are also rockpools to explore which children would enjoy The Victorian charm of Saltburn is largely unspoilt From Saltburn a short drive takes you to The North York Moors and the fishing villages of Staithes and Whitby York Durham City Beamish Open Air Museum and Teesdale are within easy reach for a day trip
