Birch Hall is only down the road where you can relax and do some fishing. Horse-riding and bicycle-hire are available locally. A fine 18 hole golf course is just minutes away and a 20 minute drive will take you to Connemara's majestic mountains or to lively, historic Galway City. Roscahill which is only a mile away has the magical Brigit's garden, a nature and heritage trail. There is boat hire or corrib ferries can take you out to enjoy sailing between Oughterard and Cong with stop off and guided tours of 5 th Century historical ruins of Inchagoill Island . Aughnanure Castle is a nice walk away from the cottage. Kinneveys pub is only a mile away and the Connemara Gateway Hotel with Leisure centre is one and a half miles away. This adorable cottage is situated on one acre, a perfect retreat after a long journey.
