Self-catered or catered accomodation for up to 10 people in a beautiful 250 year old restored Moorish casa. The house, in the village of Pitres, is in the Sierra Nevada mountains of Andalucia in southern Spain.
Casa de Luz has 2 floors, the upper being the living space of 250sq m. The restoration has kept all the original beams and stone ceilings, and has maintained the finishing style, while creating a well appointed and equipped house. The ground floor was the original working part of the house which has been left largely intact except for the creation of an internal patio with a small pool. One part of the 'bodega' has been restored into a cool place to relax. Casa de Luz is near the edge of Pitres, one of the larger villages of the stunning High Alpujarras where many charming old 'white villages' cling to the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada. They are connected by ancient mule tracks (and some roads) which are the core of the beautiful walking and riding trails. Pitres has all of the amenities one needs - bars, restuarants, supermarket, bank, clinic, pharmacy - but remains very un-hurried.

Bedrooms 3, 4 and 5 have 2 single beds each, one room having a door to a village lane.
Large beautiful bathroom with a bath/shower and basin, 2 large round showers with basins, separate double basin and 2 toilets. Third toilet downstairs.
Kitchen/dining room is 35sq m and fully equipped for catering and entertaining: double hobs, oven, microwave oven, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, steam iron, ironing board, food processor and all equipment you could need.
Summer lounge - bright, comfortable and airy - with French doors to terrace.
Smaller 'winter' lounge with built-in fireplace, 26" TV, Satellite. BBC channels, DVD player (no DVD's supplied).
Terrace: 45sq m. with views of village. Hung with flowers and pot plants. Ideal for sun bathing, barbecues and sundowners.
All bed linen and bath towels provided - not beach towels.
Property cleaned on changeover.
