Situated in Northern Brittany Dinan is one of the best preserved and most charming medieval towns in EuropeDinan is the perfect base from which to explore Brittany and beautiful coastline. The old port area has a variety of restaurants and cafes overlooking the River Rance. From here you can walk or cycle next to the river. A mile or so upriver is the ancient abbey of Lehon and heated swimming pool A walk up the cobbled street of Rue Du Petit Fort where Ker Viviane is situated will lead you to the town. This wonderfully preserved street is lined with traditional Breton style timbered houses restaurants and artisans workshops and leads up to the old Town Gate La Jerzual and city walls If you are feeling energetic take a walk around the old walls ending in the magnificent castle dating back to the 14th century.

Our gites which are situated on the Rue du Petit Fort a truly impressive example of conservation and preservation This cobbled street descends steeply dropping some 75 metres 300 feet in its 750 metre length from the old town to the picturesque River Rance and the old port of Dinan. The walk up and down is invigorating scenic and very interesting and even more enjoyable when you envisage a gourmet meal waiting to be ordered at one of the many picturesque cafs or restaurants at the port of Dinan.
