Hayloft gite is situated on the first floor of this 19th century stone built property and is extremely well equipped for all seasons.

It consists of two comfortable and bright double bedrooms, a new shower room, a second WC, a fully fitted kitchen with modern appliances and a large open plan sitting/dining room. It has central heating, double glazing, a private entrance and a large parking area.
The sitting/dining room retains some of the original beams, stone walls and the high ceiling giving the room a light and airy feel.
New French doors lead onto the balcony which overlooks the garden, stream, fields and woods of Prat Long.
This provides a delightful area to sit or dine out of doors.
A wood burning stove provides a cosy feel to the room during the winter months.
The dining area is furnished with a large round table, 4 chairs with cushions and a pine dresser.
The sitting area has a very comfortable sofa, two armchairs, a wood burnng stove, rugs, coffee tables and lamps, a television, a DVD player, a small stereo system, boxed games and plenty of books.
On the balcony, there is a table and four chairs. It is a lovely place for those sundowners and to dine ‘al fresco’, as is the sheltered terrace, which also has a table and chairs.

The two comfortable and bright double bedrooms situated off the tiled hallway. One has a standard sized double bed, and the other has twin beds(90x190cms). Each has a wardrobe, a chest of drawers with a mirror above, a bedside cabinet or table, a chair and two bedside rugs.
Across the hall is the large modern shower room which has a modern corner shower with sliding doors, a cupboard with mirrored doors above the basin, a toilet and two wooden stools. The separate cloakroom has a toilet and hand basin.
Towels and linen are supplied.

The good sized kitchen has recently been fitted to a high standard with plenty of cupboards, worktop space and appliances. There is a large fridge/freezer, a microwave, an electric oven, an electric and gas hob with an extractor above, a dishwasher, a toaster, a filter coffee maker. An iron and ironing board are in the hall cupboard.
Laundry facilities are available in the main house.

A private pathway leads from the parking area to the terrace and steps which take you up to the apartment and balcony. The gardens, woods and surrounding fields are there for you to explore or relax and watch the birds, butterflies and the occasional wild animal visitor.
Evening meals are available and also homemade 'take-away' meals.

Local Area Details

Prat Long is situated in the valley of the river Cerou at the edge of the Gresigne Forest the Gaillac vineyards and 5kms from medieval Cordes sur Ciel.
Cordes is a stunning medieval hilltop town founded in 1222, famous for its highly perched fortified site, has cafes restaurants and craft shops set amongst Gothic facades The town has many studios, galleries, artisan workshops, cafes, restaurants, banks and supermarkets. The busy weekly market is on Saturday morning.

The area is one of outstanding natural beauty and has an interesting history. The Middle Ages were a time of great conflict and gave rise to the many fortified towns and villages of the area such as St Antonin Noble Val, Penne, Bruniquel, Puycelci, Castelnau-de-Montmiral and Najac.
At Vaour, in the Gresigne forest, are the ruins of the Knights Templar headquarters.
This area is known as the Golden Triangle, with Albi and Gaillac to the south, and Cordes to the north.
Albi is a beautiful town on the banks of the riverTarn, with many elegant shops and restaurants, and where the Sainte Cecile Cathedral, the Bishop’s Palace and Toulouse Lautrec Museum, with their rose coloured bricks, dominate the skyline.
Gaillac, also on the banks of the Tarn, is at the heart of one of the oldest wine producing regions in France, with a heritage dating back over 1,000 years. It has all the facilities you would expect in a large town and a very lively market on Friday mornings.

Laguepie is a pretty village set at the confluence of the rivers Viaur and Aveyron. During the summer months it is possible to swim in the river Viaur where the water is tested daily for quality.
Water sports are available on the rivers Aveyron and Tarn and at a nearby lake.
La Garissou swimming pool is 3kms away, and at Albi there is a larger indoor sports centre.
