Fabulous views of the surrounding area and sea in the distance can be enjoyed from the pool terrace. Casa Jacaranda is peacefully located and the design of the garden and terracing allows for total privacy as well as being safe for children. There are sun terraces and sun loungers around the pool for that all-important sunbathing. The villa is conveniently located in the hamlet of Synagoga, just 3.5 kms from the beautiful town of Tavira, 10 mins drive from Golf courses, 10 mins drive from long sandy beaches. Faro airport is 35 mins to the West and the Spanish border 35 mins to the East. There is a small well-stocked grocery shop close to the villa, which will provide you with your essentials provisions. Casa Jacaranda is both comfortable and well equipped offering perfect accommodation for a family looking for that "getaway" feeling but within easy driving distances of the very best the Algarve has to offer.

Local Area Details

The Eastern Algarve is considered to be the unspoilt, authentically Portuguese end of the Algarve and Tavira it's 'crown jewels'. Tavira itself is thought by many artists and writers alike to be the most beautiful town in the area. It is world renowned for it's historical past and fantastic architecture, some of the best examples of which can be seen along the banks of the river Gilao and thankfully today, it's beauty remains unspoilt. There are no less than 39 churches in this bustling town, as well as the usual shops, banks, supermarket and some lovely riverside restaurants/cafes. There are also both bus and train stations, with connections to Faro and Lisbon. Tavira is well located being just 35 mins to Faro airport and 35 mins from the Spanish border, which means you can explore both countries during your stay.
Tavira is close to both long sandy beaches and rolling hills, so provides the ideal location for either a beach holiday or walking and mountain biking. Bikes can be hired in town. The beaches are long, sandy, not crowded and safe. Water-parks are within 1 hours drive and goods and crafts markets can be visited locally. If Golf is your passion, then you will be spoilt for choice, as there are three new golf courses along the Eastern Algarve and others just over the Spanish border. 'Benamor' is the closest at just 10/15 mins drive - you will need soft spikes to play. Boat trips and other excursions can be organised by the Tourist office in Tavira. There is a daily produce market in the town where you can buy fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables as well as some local honeys and home-made sweet treats - naughty but very nice. This is where to get your BBQ goodies.
The Portuguese love celebrations, parades and festivals so you will undoubtedly experience a taste of these during your stay. In June there are three 'Saints Days' so the month of June is one long celebration, so be prepared for some late nights as things don't start until later in the evening. Just take a coffee or beer at one of the many cafes and watch it all go by. So if you fancy a relaxing, peaceful holiday in the sun, in beautiful surroundings yet close to beaches, restaurants and the many other pleasures of the Algarve, then this villa is the one for you.
