'Casa Pozo' is an older style character finca set in a charming private walled garden very close to the splendid unspoiled bay of Zahora. It is totally unpretentious. However, its simple charms and excellent location draw holiday makers back time and time again. All the bedrooms are doubles with double beds. The house faces north providing welcome shade but sun can be found all day in the garden or on the upper roof terraces. At the house it is possible to hear the wash and draw of the Atlantic pounding the shoreline at high tide. At low tide very large shallow pools form within the rocky outcrop to provide perfect conditions for children to play and learn to swim. The beach is of fine golden sand. It is just 400 metres from the house. This really is one of the most sort after locations on the Costa de la Luz.
Local Area DetailsI cannot describe Zahora adequately. You have to go and experience it for yourself. It is a very small rural character village with a number of small lanes with cottages and villas hidden away behind private walled gardens. It is not a purpose built resort. It has slowly evolved. There are a selection of good restuarants and bars and shops. You can walk to 12 restuarants from the house and all the shops. A car is needed to explore the surrounding areas. The views on the drive to Gibraltar are spectacular. The inland vistas equally incredible. All the local towns are fascinating and worth a visit. You can even leave the car and take the train to Sevilla. There are activities and interests for everyone. Sporting facilities are world class! Please do call or e-mail to discuss this venue further.
