Both homes are differently but immaculately furnished – great care has been taken to decorate and furnish each one to a luxurious level with comfortable sofas and beds.Both homes are Fáilte Ireland (Irish Tourist Board) 4-star standard and sleep 6 people
There is ample car-parking around the house and at the front. The house was completed in 1995. The sleeping accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms. Two with double beds and one with two single beds. The rest of the house consists of a separate sitting room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom.

Local Area DetailsThe setting of the house is indeed unique The Blue Flag Silver Strand is 20m for the door and is never completely covered by sea even at high tide It ensures comfortable and safe bathing no stones underfoot At the other end of the strand the Slievemore Mountain rises majestically giving the house what has to be one of the best locations on the island Achill The island itself is one of the few drive on drive off islands along the coast being joined to the mainland by a bridge at Achill Sound It is the largest island off the Irish coast 20 km long 18 km wide has 6 blue flag beaches and the highest sea cliffs in Europe There are numerous excellent hotels pubs restaurants Outdoor activities include sea fresh water fishing golf pitch putt surfing walking touring Atlantic Drive Deserted villages beaches castles etc swimming Artists who have lived here are Paul Harry Derek Hill Charles Lamb American Robert Henri Writers who have lived here are Graham Greene The German Nobel prize winner Heinrich Bll and modern day poet Paul Durkan chose Dugort for their homes There are 3 hotelsbarsrestaurants in the village which provide entertainment and refreshments throughout most of the year
