No.2 Tan-y-Fedw is a traditional stone cottage available for self-catering holidays. The cottage is in the picturesque village of Trefriw, within the Snowdonia National Park, and 5 miles from the busy village of Betws-y-Coed. There are numerous walks from the cottage including the ‘Trefriw Trails’, a set of walks ranging from an all-abilities walk up to more invigorating walks to Llyn Cowlyd and beyond. For an evening stroll, there are pathways through the fields opposite the house.

The cottage is ideal for a romantic break for 2, a family get-a-way, or for a group of three friends.

For that romantic break or for parents, the main bedroom can be set up with a Super King size bed for you to enjoy the luxury of space and the bedroom has views over the fields opposite the house. Alternatively, the bedroom can be set up with two single beds for friends or family.

The second bedroom has a single bed with views down the Conwy Valley. This room would be perfect for a child or for the third person in a group of friends.

The bathroom contains a good sized shower suite, WC and basin, with a modern design.

The lounge on the ground floor has a wooden floor and a random stone fireplace with a slate lintel and hearth. There is a colour TV and DVD player, so bring your favourite films with you, and a radio/CD player for quiet evenings together.

The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and 4 ring gas hob with canopy extractor hood above, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine together with all the pots & pans etc you may need. The village shops provide good quality local ingredients and there is a dining table and chairs for three people.

You are on holiday however! Within walking distance of the cottage there are a number of pubs/restaurants and sample menus are in the welcome folder for you to choose your destination in the evening.

There is a raised patio in the garden with table and chairs to either dine outdoors or just relax with a glass of wine whilst watching the sheep graze in the fields opposite. The garden is terraced and the terraces are unfenced so may be unsuitable for unsupervised children; there is a playing field in the village. The garden shed is available for storage of bicycles, etc.

Local Area Details

The cottage is located within the Snowdonia National Park so is ideally located for exploring the mountains either on foot or by car. Nearby is Gwydyr Castle for a touch of history, Trefriw Woollen Mill for traditional crafts and Trefriw Wells Spa for iron-rich mineral water. Further afield are Conwy Castle, Bodnant Gardens, Portmeirion and many other fabulous places to visit.
