Dar Ghax-Xemx is a typical Gozitan farmhouse dating back over 300 years. It is situated in the maze like alleys of the old town of Victoria in one of the prettiest dead end alleys in the area.
You enter through a pretty sunny courtyard. It sleeps 4 persons but can accommodate a 5th person on a sofabed. There is 1 bathroom and a spare toilet downstairs with a washing machine. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker/hob, toaster, electric kettle, fridge/freezer etc. It has a dining area adjoining the kitchen and a separate sitting room with cable TV. The bedrooms are very tastefully finished. Access to upstairs is via either the external stairs or an internal wooden spiral staircase. There is a pretty roof terrace with bbq available, table/chairs, sunchairs and a very attractive gazebo area. There are views up to the old Citadel and Cathedral and up to Gelmus Hill which is where all the fireworks are let off during Festa time. You will not find similar accommodation of such a high standard anywhere in this area.

Victoria is the main town of Gozo In the morning there is alot of hustle and bustle centred around the Main Square which very quickly becomes quiet when it is time for Siesta Although the house is just a couple of minutes walk from the Main Square its location is very peaceful The bus terminus is just a 5 minute walk away You will a few good local restaurants in the vicinity too and there is also a cinema showing quite up to date films Gozo abounds with cultural things to do and see There is usually an updated monthly cultural calendar on httpbuntsblogblogspotcom
