This 300+ year old farmhouse is as authentic as it gets. Entrance is through a large pretty courtyard full of potted plants. Downstairs you will find a large fully operational kitchen with full cooker, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is also a sitting room with cable tv and a separate dining room. There is an additional shower/toilet downstairs also. Access to upstairs is either via the traditional external stone staircase or an internal spiral staircase. Upstairs you will find a large very light and airy landing/sitting area with a wonderful view. Off the landing are a double bedroom, twin bedroom with ensuite shower, bunk bedroom and a single bedroom. It is possible for 2 extra persons to sleep - one on the sofa bed and one on a roll away. There is also a full bathroom with bidet. A stone spiral staircase takes you up to the roof level. Lovely views over the Gozitan countryside. There are plenty of books for both adults and children and also some childrens games.
Local Area DetailsGhammar is the smallest village if you can call it a village in Gozo The inhabitants are mainly farmers There is a very well stocked mini market just 10 mins walk down the road or a couple of minutes by car The area is perfect for walking or mountain biking in the slightly cooler months You do need to hire a car since the bus passes just twice a day Close by is the famous Basilica of TaPinu The sea is just a 5 minute drive away The main town of Victoria is just a 5 minute drive away too
