The house is set in 2 acres of wood and meadow land with a private 12x6 m pool. There is a shaded loggia with dining facilities for eating "al fresco," where you can relax with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down. In addition, Maria who looks after the house will be more than happy to cook for you: Torta di Maria and home made limoncello are not to be missed. If you are arriving late she will set the table, open the wine,leave something roasting slowly in the oven....
Local Area Details Ideally situated IL Monte is ideal for those who want culture, or for just relaxing by the pool. It's a perfect base for visting Umbria,Tuscany and Le Marche. The seaside town of Fano is only an hour's drive. Assisi and Perugia are the same distance.There are a wealth of old fortifed towns to visit locally.The old agricultural town of Pietralunga,famous for truffles and potatoes is only 2km,s away. All the usual amenities are here including the tastiest and possibly the cheapest pizzeria in Italy.And for those who wish to go further it is possible to visit Rome or Florence for the day and be back in time for an evening swim!
