Our first family holiday in an apartment and what a fantastic choice we made with Apartment Hildur on the Roda Golf resort.
The apartment fulfilled all of our requirements and was ideal for our grandchildren being situated as it was on the ground floor and on a corner plot that gave us an extended garden area. The facilities inside the apartment were first class and having two bathrooms made life so much easier first thing in a morning.
The resort itself is ideal for young families with lovely swimming pools dotted around the site. The beach at nearby Al Cazares is wonderful and due to the nature of the geography the sea is calm and shallow, again ideal for young families.
Literally a five minute drive from Murcia airport, we will definitely be returning and would recommend it to anyone else looking for a holiday in Spain.

We have just returned from two weeks in Murcia, staying in apartment Hildur on the Roda Golf Resort.
The apartment was lovely, clean and spacious and the air conditioning was a godsend! Being a corner ground floor property there was plenty of outside space to enjoy the gas barbeque. We were spoilt for choice with all the swimming pools and as we were there just before the schools finished for the summer we virtually had a pool to ourselves. Again the pools and pool areas were immaculately clean and well maintained.
I would advise the need for a hire car especially for families with young children as although the walk to the local shops and beaches isn’t more than a mile, in the heat of the day, carrying shopping and beach paraphernalia it certainly feels much further! We did hire a car from the airport and the underground parking at the complex made sure the car was kept nice and cool and secure. As the complex is still under construction there were no facilities other than the temporary golf clubhouse. It would be wrong not to mention the ongoing construction work but I can honestly say that any noise was minimal and in no way spoilt the enjoyment of our holiday. Once the complex is completed with on-site shops, restaurants and bars there probably won’t be the need for car hire unless wanting to explore more of Murcia which is well worth doing.
This was our first trip to this part of Spain but certainly won’t be our last. I would thoroughly recommend apartment Hildur and will hopefully be returning in the not too distant future.

There is a courtesy bus which runs several times a day, which will take you to the beach, where you catch a boat out to the private beach club, where there is pools and snack bar/restaurant.
