Rumah Belanda is a fully staffed and equipped executive guest house, ideal for both vacation or business stays in Medan. Especially if you prefer a more personal, homestay type of atmosphere. Each of our three rooms is available on a daily or monthly basis.

Rumah Belanda is located in Taman Setia Budi Indah near the city center, yet away from the city rumble in a well cared-for atmosphere.

While breakfast and afternoon tea is included as standard, we also provide our guests with Indonesian and international meals.

We have an English and Dutch speaking Indonesian management, and full staffing, all amenities, wireless internet and a small yet crystal clear swimming pool. Explore and get around the area on two well-maintained mountain bikes. Optionally, Rumah Belanda's vehicle and driver are available when needed.

We also assist business people to arrange the right contacts. Our manager is also an experienced tour guide. Seniors might like to enquire about our senior programs and meet Indonesian seniors.

Local Area Details

The Taman Setia Budi Indah or TASBI is an exclusively residential area not far from the Medan city center and seems to be a preferred location for many of the Medan expat community and the locals who prefer a more quiet atmosphere within the city. Main Medan shopping areas are within 10 to 25 minutes reach, to the Medan Polonia airport its about 25 minutes by vehicle.

While the guest house has its own small private pool, the TASBI pool with its small restaurant is within about 5 minutes bicycle ride, a driving range is similarly close by.

Shopping is available within TASBI with a supermarket, as well as hair salons, two bank branches and a number of local restaurants.

Of course Medan city offers a wide selection of shops, restaurants and things to do, our staff will be happy to advise or guide you.

Rumah Belanda is an ideal vantage point to get to know not only the immediate area of Medan, but also for exploring places further out, such as cool Berastagi, crater lake Toba, Prapat market and Bahorok Orang Utangs. Banda Aceh is a short plane ride or about a days drive from here.
