Situated in the centre of Cuevas de San Marcos you can walk to local bars shops and restaurants.Nearby Antequera (20 mins) has excellent golf and shops.There are ample shops in the village and local produce and gifts can be bought at the Saturday market.The nearby lake at Iznajar has a large sandy beach suitable for swimming and sailing.The locals take their BBQs and spend the whole day on the beach.
Visit the nearby cities of Cordoba Seville Granada and Ronda.Cuevas is an ideal base for exploring the real Spain where Fiestas and Flamenco can be found

The village is located on the edge of Malaga province on the border of Cordoba province The city of Malaga is full of history and is only 1 hours drive away.Cuevas is 420 metres above sea level and has a population of
about 4000.The village church is worth a visit It was built in the 17th century in the late baroque and neoclassical style of the period. The caves of Belda and swimming pool nearby are worth a visit.
Cuevas provides an ideal base from which to explore the cities of Malaga, Granada Seville and Cordoba as they are each about one hours drive from the village by motorway.There are many attractions in these cities providing an insight into traditional Spain and its colourful history.
