Property Details of Poitou Charentes Gite
This is the largest of our three gîtes and features exposed stone walls and two sets of large French doors leading out onto a private patio area.
Downstairs the gîte comprises of a large, light and airy open plan room. It has a fully fitted and equipped kitchen, dining area featuring solid oak furniture and a very comfortable lounge area equipped with British digital TV, DVD and HiFi, looking out over the garden, heated swimming pool and into the countryside beyond. A small library of books, games and DVDs is available in your gîte. Free wifi access available in the gite.
The kitchen area is equipped with fridge/freezer, full sized gas cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and many other electrical appliances. The kitchens are generously stocked with crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots & pans and many other kitchen items.
La Vieille Ecurie has one double en-suite and one twin en-suite bedroom. Upstairs is full of original features and charm provided by original roof beams, exposed stonework and chesnut flooring.
The bedrooms are furnished and decorated to the highest standard with solid oak furniture and high quality soft furnishings. An additional single bed may be accommodated in the twin room and a baby's cot in the double room for a maximum occupancy of 5 persons and a baby.
The beautiful en-suite shower rooms have a large corner shower, handbasin and WC.
Your holiday prices include bed linen, towels (for use in the gîte) and a welcome hamper to ease your arrival.
All guests have shared use of the 10 x 5m heated swimming pool which is fenced and alarmed and the 3.5 acres of garden and grounds, including a children's play area. The swimming pool area has an ample supply of sun loungers and parasols.
There is a small restaurant on-site which is open 3 evenings each week.
Babysitting and childminding services available by arrangement.
Local Area DetailsWe are located on the edge of the picturesque and historic village of Brux with excellent local amenities including shop, bar, museum and 11th Century church. Our unspoilt rural location is perfect for walking, cycling, birdwatching and relaxing. Nearby attractions include Futuroscope and La Vallee des Singes. Poitiers, Cognac, Angouleme, Limoges and the coast are all within easy reach. Bicycle hire for all the family is available locally.
