Mirleft is set on a beautiful stretch of coastline. The are endless sandy beaches to choose from. Within easy walking distance of the villa (10mins) there are three beaches

Mirleft was previously just a small fishing village. Now tourism is the main industry but fishing remains a livlihood and pastime for many. There are plenty of good fishing opportunities near to the town and a local guide will be happy to accompany you.

Mirleft is set with the coast on one side and dramatic hills on the other. Throughout the hillside are endless villages made out of traditional mud and stone so that they almost blend into the landscape. It is a beautiful place to explore and find out more about the ancient way of life of the people who still live there.

The beach of course offers great family activities. However there is also quad biking, mountain biking and donkey treking on offer! Also locals are avilable to put on a henna evening when you can get traditional temporary tattoos. Also why not have a trip to the traditional local hammam baths.

There are plenty of good restaurants in Mirleft, offering Moroccan, Italian and French cuisine. Prices are low and quality high. Everything is produced locally so the food is very fresh. Of course there is also great seafood on offer, caught, sold and cooked on the same day.

About Walking

There are great wlking opportunities in the hills behind Mirleft. Great views can be had over the coastline, and ancient traditional villages can be visited along your route. You will no doubt be invited in to share a mint tea - people here are very welcoming and like to host guests.

The town centre has planty of shops selling locally produced handicrafts and gifts. These include pottery, lanterns, rugs, scarfs, slippers, leather sandals and bags, silver jewellery, clothing, beauty products and glass wear.
