Dean Lodge

Lodge in England, United Kingdom

Property Details of England Lodge

Dean Lodge was built in 1885, at the same time as the main house and in the same architectural style, with massive stone elevations and mullioned windows. The Dean itself is a traditional West Riding mill owner’s house. Dean Lodge, originally a Gardener’s cottage and outbuildings, was completely refurbished into a cottage in 2005/6 and is a fine stone building at the side of the main house, with two terraces facing south across the garden to a small valley with pasture and spinnies, with fields beyond rising up to the horizon.
Dean Lodge has 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms and sleeps a maximum of 4 people.
The entrance is at the side of the house to the hall with a housekeepers cupboard containing a washing machine, boiler and storage. There is a large galley kitchen, modern, with four ring gas hob, electric oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. The Sitting/dining room is south facing with oak table and chairs, two sofas and built in contemporary electric fire.
From the hall is Bedroom Suite 1. A good–sized bedroom with double bed, chest of drawers, clothes storage cupboard, dressing table. A door leads to a full bathroom with bath (no shower), WB, WC and heated towel rail.
There is an inner lobby with separate second WC with staircase leading up to the second bedroom. A dormer bedroom with sloping ceilings, large velux window, double bed, chest of drawers, fitted hanging cupboard, dressing table. A door leads to a large bathroom with bath (no shower), WB, WC and heated towel rail.
Outside there are two small terraces by the cottage with garden chairs, table and barbecue. Beyond, there is a lawn joining the large lawned gardens belonging to the main house adjacent. There is also a large forecourt with ample parking.
Pets are not allowed and no children between 8 months and 18 years are allowed.
