Set within 5000 metres of landscaped gardens with a 14x6 metre floodlit swimming pool, shared with the owners but no other holidaymakers, guests are in an idyllic location, to rest, relax in comfort and explore the captivating regions of Southern Charente and the Dordogne.

The bright & airy ground-floor centrally-heated accommodation has been newly decorated, stylishly and tastefully furnished throughout. From a private patio with its garden furniture and barbeque, the front door of the gite opens to a huge open-plan living/dining room furnished with a cosy settee, arm chairs and glass-top dining table to seat 4. The American-style kitchen with breakfast-bar is equipped with new cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer & microwave. Two double-bedrooms lead off the living area, one with a double bed and French windows overlooking the front terrace and gardens, the other with twin single beds. A vestibule leads to a shower room and wc.

Other amenities included are TV with Sky satellite free channels and broadband internet. Linen and towels are provided also iron, ironing board a welcome pack and basic cleaning materials, although cleaning services not included. Not suitable for children or pets. Guests are requested not to smoke inside the gite.

Within walking distance, Saint Severin offers every convenience a holidaymaker would want, with a supermarket, butchers, bakery, newsagents/tobacconist, doctor, dentist, pharmacy, bank and hairdressers. Within the local area there is a golf course and riding stables. The region abounds with quiet lanes for cycling and walking.

Further afield, 7 Kms away, Aubeterre-sur-Dronne is ranked by the French Tourist Authority as one of the most beautiful villages in France and wellworth a visit for its famous monolithic underground church, craft shops, riverside bathing beach, and many restaurants.

Across the border with Dordogne the small bustling town of Riberac is just a short drive away with its famous Friday openair market The surrounding area has many interesting places to enjoy: the old quarter of both Perigueux and Angouleme also picturesque St Emilion, the Bordeaux wine region, Dordogne Valley, Royan Coast and Cognac Distilleries are all within easy reach. Atlantic beaches of Royan (90 minutes away) Arcachon and La Rochelle (just 2 hours)
